Flurries of email going back and forth. Lots of planning happening.<\/p>\n

Considering taking an Avy 1 refresher this season. It’s been 6? years since I took it at Silverton Avalanche school.<\/p>\n

Some possible objectives:<\/p>\n

Chair Peak
\nRainier – Ingraham Direct?
\nIllumination Rock Ice
\nHood South Side
\nOuray \/ Red Mtn Pass \/ Silverton<\/p>\n

While I would live to fly into Albuquerque and drive up to Ouray to climb in the park<\/a>, I don’t think it’s going to happen this year. Too much time.<\/p>\n

This is a more reasonable possibility though:

And of course some good racing on the snowshoes.

Lastly – I cannot believe there aren’t more skimo<\/a> races in the PNW. It’s like the sport just hasn’t caught on yet. Colorado is booming – but here, nada. Such a bummer.<\/p>\n
